It is possible that for whatever reason, a lookup makes mxisd do a request that loops back to itself. Related to this event in mxisd Matrix room.

We should attempt to recognize ourselves and prevent such requests by:

Take into account server.name and possibly not performing those requests on the ground this should be local
Tag requests somehow (with headers?) so we can recognize ourselves
