Let's create a system rough sketch and TODO List!

A rough sketch for your app is needed. For both frontend and backend.

I just put unsorted thoughts of mine regarding both ends here for making the TODO list:

Frontend

• job search options

• visualization of the returned data

  • result page have a result table which contains job list sorted by either by salary or recommendation
  • recommendation can be done with the score evaluation: score = # of skills match x |salary-salary expected |/|expected salary|
  • other scoring method is welcome!
  • right side bar is for ad
  • panel body will shows skills one already has as block and skills one needs to acquire for the better match as grey
  • expected salary needs to be the slider like the price setting on expedia
  • how to input skills??(how should UI look like?)

Backend

• multiple data source (glassdoor, indeed, etc...), unified scraping api
• algorithm to find out if the job post can be applicable to F1 student
• keyword-based job screening process
  • parameters : job title, location , skills, salary
  • skills is stored as list?
  • search inputted skills in the job description to check matching
• store user's query info (for future use, we need to think more about the detail of the application)

Please feel free to add your ideas to these lists. We can start thinking about how our app should look like and how we can implement it based on them.
