Not sure if we had this in the old GUI but Twitch chat messages disappear upon refreshing page or switching day/night mode etc. It would be nice if messages were not lost. New GUI looks promising though :)
thank you for reporting but that is a twitch issue i am afraid, and i recall it being the same in old GUI too
On the old GUI, there was a button to see the engine settings at the right of the engine logo. I don't see such an option in the new gui.
It's there Rocky. Hover your mouse over the king symbol which is next to the engine name.
Thanks. OK, it works ! But not obvious.
Keyboard arrow keys for forward/back move buttons. Old GUI has this. I posted a github issue on this topic about two weeks ago but it has not been touched. Thanks.

NOTED - good point ty
I would like to see that we can resize the chessboard.. And the coordinates should be outside the board I know for mobile it has to be compact..then is default like now good.
The new GUI crosstable is incomprehensible and the green colour almost invisible. What is the point of the colours? An explanatory note is needed at the top or bottom of the table. I don't like the "1/2" for a draw - the conventional "=" sign is much better for immediate recognition by the eye.
Schedule list was far better in the legacy GUI. It was much easier to scroll down and see the future games.
The old GUI showed the diagram for the end point of an engine's PV, which I found to be useful. This is missing in the new GUI.

actually this belongs more in the requests for features at https://github.com/scs-ben/tcec-gui/issues but 1 thing maybe appropriate here and i check that as
NOTED - option to see or hide board coordinates (was in old GUI)

thanks for your reaction but i can read nothing that answers the question and purpose of this thread. if you have specific requested features you can go to the link above

thanks for your reaction but i can read nothing that answers the question and purpose of this thread, most especially since the feature exists on both. if you have specific requested features you can go to the link above

PV board is not missing in new GUI:
In the old GUI, going forwards or backwards through a game would highlight the corresponding node on the graphs.
All this is available in beta (http://tcecbeta.club) will move it to main later

thank you, indeed absent in new GUI and minor but very handy as well.
NOTED - show move in graph when moving through game (was in old GUI)
- Crosstable has been updated to make it more viewable
- PV board can be used as analysis (few bugs still there)
- New option added for chat i.e. you can have dark twitch on white theme
- Few other fixes went in

thank you very much for keeping this thread informed as well arun! please note the NOTED elements in this thread, as they concern the core of the question here.

excellent arun, thank you very much!
- Keyboard navigation for game moves are added All available fixes are present in http://tcec.chessdom.com/live.html also now
thank you arun, that issue is also solved then!

ty for reporting; this issue has been solved for various browsers today
EDIT: correction: this issue is NOTED (not yet solved afaik)
now the PV board can be used for analysis as well, pieces can be moved. Touch support still not provided as chessboard js needs to provide touch support, but mouse drag drop works well

super feature!!! methinks this whole thread can be closed now? ;-)
highlighting graphs is not yet working i.e. points on graph as we move
In the adjudication rules for draw it reads: "If there is a pawn advance, or a capture by any kind," Should be "If there is a pawn advance, or a capture of any kind," This is present on legacy and new GUIs.
In the rules, still some references to Season 11

thank you for noticing this, i think it had best be reported at https://github.com/scs-ben/tcec-gui/issues since it is a more generic issue

thank you for reporting arun, we patiently await this last (?) comparison fix. the two issues above this remark also deserve you attention, although i think they should be reported directly to the tcec gui repo
rules have been fixed in new gui
I don't see the engines' ELOs in the new GUI. Also, before, I think there was a cursor on the graphs corresponding to the position chosen on the main board. The rules for previous TCECs do not appear to be being preserved (and some words are incorrectly carried forward). In some cases, 'or' should more exactly be 'and/or'.

thank you for mentioning it, this has also been fixed now.
i think this thread can be closed soon...
Please compare the TCEC legacy GUI at http://legacy-tcec.chessdom.com/live.php with the newly developed GUI at http://tcec.chessdom.com/
TCEC wants to know what is still missing in the new GUI which was there in the older legacy GUI created by Martin Thoresen years ago -> what is missing in the new GUI for it to be complete as compared to the legacy GUI?
This thread is for info gathering only; for feature requests to the new GUI go to https://github.com/scs-ben/tcec-gui/issues thank you for participating!
Cordially, Kan
