Status of this package #38

@kaneplusplus Is this package still under active development? I saw it presented at talk by Simon at User2016 and was interested in learning more about where it stands currently and any plans to take it to CRAN.

Hi @ramnathv. Yes, I'd still like to take it to CRAN. @statsmaths and I are going to start working on it again in the next week or so. It will probably be combined with the pirls package, which include Rcpp implementations for coordinate descent. I'll leave this open and provide a better update soon. Thanks.
