OK Vangelis, we will put it on our list.

This is a beta release - to get input from users on a new functionality - Veda Assistant. We have taken several different approaches over the years to provide some kind of Veda syntax help when working in Excel, but we couldn't find a better alternative to just copying table structures from other templates. I am optimistic that we will be able to find a solution now. The idea is to create a Veda-aware Excel-like grid, where users can create table structures, pick attributes and other items from lists, and also create process/commodity filters. It will be possible to see the processes/commodities shortlisted by filters on any row within this interface. This structure can then be copied to any workbook via clipboard.
See the experimental button "Create Tag" on the Information - TIMES and Veda attributes screen. [You will need to import at least one model for this to work right now - any small demo model will be ok]
You can pick a table tag (top left of the form) and then pick attributes from a list in the first empty row. Required dimensions will be indicated and default values will be filled. The tables can be pasted in any Excel workbook via "Copy tag to clipboard".
Eventually we will have dynamic filtering on these lists, but please make the attribute col a little wider and scroll for now. You can one letter for quick type though.
The process/commodity filters functionality is not ready yet.
This version gives the option to copy lists of items to clipboard on right-click of lists in the Items Detail view.
Hi Amit,
I checked it today and it works very nice. In VEDA_FE we had the option to make a selection of the subset of the displayed items, but this is not a big issue.
I did not make the "open excel" work very well when there are multiple items shown on the left or right hand side, but it works when there is one item.
Please see the production version released today.
The "open excel" button shows the topology declaration, and it works only when you point to a single process/commodity. I find it quite useful :)
It is great! Thank you very much VEDA team 🥇
Hi VEDA Team, A future which was very helpful in VEDA_FE and I miss in VEDA 2.0 is the possibility when I am browsing for TIMES and VEDA parameters to have the option to create a FI_T, or TFM_INS, or TFM_DINS Excel template for defining a selected parameter for this panel view. For example, when in VEDA_FE was browsing for capacity bounds and I saw the CAP_BND as possibility, when I was selecting the CAP_BND I had the option to create a base or scenario file with a skeleton to define this parameter in a table of my choice INS, DINS, etc. If this feature is already in VEDA 2.0 and I overlooked it, please ignore this issue. Best regards, Vangelis
