Using OWL Browser to access Digest authenticated files gives an error #56

I am using the v1.4.2 on an ubuntu linux server.

I am running OWL browser and need to access OWL files which are protected by an 
apache2 Digest authentification.

I tried to give http://user:pssword@host/owlfile but this is not running.
I would like OWL browser to be able to open files wwhich are protected.

OWL browser gives instead the output: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 
for URL: http://user:password@localhost/...uploads/LED.owl

Thank you for any tipps allowing me to let OWL Browser access protected files.
