Copy verses problem

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Long press on certain word to begin a selection.
2.No selection marker appear on the text.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Supposed to appear on the screen a Blue marker but instead nothing appear.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android jelly bean on Nexus 7

Please provide any additional information below.

I have implemented an experimental partial fix in the latest beta build 
available in the Downloads list.

Not having a JellyBean device I have managed to Select text successfully in a 
JB emulator, but I need to scroll down the page slightly before selection 
works.  I hope to implement a better solution in the future after hearing back 
from other developers.

I have tested the experimental fix on a Nexus 4 and it seems to work.
