Confirmed. After downgrading firebug to 1.7.3, it works again!

Have a similar problem. I have upgraded to Firebug 1.8, FireXPath causes 2
problems :
- the context menu (after a right-click) in the HTML Tree of firebug isn't shown
- the FireXPath tab freezes Firebug (cannot go back to any other tab of Firebug)
Uninstalling FireXPath solved these two problems.
Please, correct that, I like this module :(.

I will try to fix this as soon as possible but it might take some time. It
looks like they made fairly large architectural changes in Firebug 1.8 and I
have to reflect some of them in FirePath.
Until this is fixed, if you want to continue using FirePath you will have to
downgrade to Firebug 1.7.3.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I managed to make FirePath work with Firebug 1.8 and I committed the change to
trunk at revision r39.
I'm going to submit the new version on AMO today so it will be available as
soon as it is reviewed.

I have Firebug 1.8.2 and Firepath 0.9.7. It doesn't cause firefox to freeze,
but does not show the xPath tab anymore.
I have firefox 6.0.1
