Is this gem abandoned? #143

Last update to this gem was in 2018. Although this gem is mentioned in the Middleman docs, it is a old-style plugin no longer supported by the latest version of Middleman.

Is there an updated fork?

@remino @jmuheim I've forked it here and reduced it just for git if that's any use. Not yet deployed to rubygems.org.
