cava not working in dwm #581

I am using Arch Linux with Dwm in the st terminal emulator. When i run the Cava command nothing shows up even though i have can see that Cava is recording in Pavucontrol. i have changed my background color and changed output method to noncurses raw noritake ncurse but nothing shows up for any of them. i Have installed Cava from git and Aur but both have the same issue. issue cava is on the left

I changed my locale LC_ALL to "en.US_UTF-8 cava" but that just starts cava in the tty when i boot up my computer

i fixed it by setting output method to sdl but if there was a way i could still use terminal that would be great.
