Difference with karma-coverage-istanbul-reporter?

What is the difference between this module an karma-coverage-istanbul-reporter? It seems like this module now follows same Istanbul API as of https://github.com/karma-runner/karma-coverage/issues/245 and can be used instead of the "fork", but I’m not entirely sure.
