Update Travis config. #131

remove defaults
move DISPLAY variable in env
add Node.js 12.x
adapt for Ubuntu Xenial images

I'm gonna update the deps and stuff later after this lands. I'll try to release a patch version before dropping Node.js 6.x support and making a major version bump.
