How should we sync game store configuration files?

I would like to add an plugin API for that, so we can switch between git or rsync based backends whenever we want. this would give us the posibility to create test/stable/beta repositories with nearly unlimited possibilities.

different repositories. But after I though a bit about this, I don't think we should have several "repositories". User should be able to replace files though in their home folder though. But I am completely unsure what to do here.
