In the April 1st commit some channel names have been renamed but the Blender Annotation Tool still uses the old ones and because of that the exr_reader throws an error.

The new channel names are introduced in the dev branch of BAT. These will be used in the future. The reason why the dev branch is not merged into master yet, is because it still has some issues that need to be fixed.

For now you can use the dev branch from BAT with the exr_reader and it should work.
