Firefox blocks access to 8123 due to malware misuse, see http://www-archive.mozilla.org/projects/netlib/PortBanning.html

btw: It seems that everything works well in Firefox otherwise.

additional note to Firefox: event tooltips on mouseover doesn't work

Thanks! Odd that tooltips dont work for you in FF, it worked on my Ubuntu machine. I'll try to look into it.
