Could you tell us which model of Android phone do you have, including the OS version?
Sure. It's a Motorola Moto G2, running Android 6.0 If you need anything elese, just tell me, please.
Thanks @naoliv. We're using the automatic exposure setting for the camera, leaving it to the OS to decide the actual values.. Is this something that you sometimes see using the phone's camera app or other relevant apps?
It seems that sometimes OSC captures some extremely overexposed pictures without any apparent reason (ie, no direct sunlight hitting the phone nor any kind of bright object in view).
For example, in a sequence of 129 pictures I am seeing 9 overexposed pictures (which accounts for 6.97% of the pictures)
A small sample sequence where we can see this: sample.zip
I don't see this overexposing behavior with any other app or usage pattern.
