If I remember correctly iOS does not support Bluetooth OBD devices. I had to use a wifi one for my iphone 7+.
iOS does support Bluetooth LE (the LE being the important bit). The dongle works with a free OBD app, but not OSC
Oh ok, the one I had didn't show up at all on my iPhone but worked fine on my android so that makes sense as it was a cheaper one.
I have bought my third OBD bluetooth adaptor (this time spending decent money) - and it still doesn't connect to the iPhone app. I'm not going to buy any more.
I bought a "VEEPEAK OBDCheck BLE". It connects to an OBD app I installed on my phone (so it can work with an iPhone). When I open the OSC app, and try the "Bluetooth LE, Get Started", then the "Connect" buttons, "VEEPEAK" appears as a device. However clicking it does nothing, and if I exit out and try to do it again, "VEEPEAK" does not appear a 2nd time.
Is there any chance this issue can be fixed ? (because it's just too hard to find a Bluetooth adaptor that works with the iPhone at the moment)
