Suggestion: partner with ridesharing companies to source data #255

What if OpenStreetMap/Cam partnered with ridesharing companies in order to source image data for OpenStreetCam? From the OSM wiki, I see that a few companies use OSM internally, and some are even partners. What if they provided their top drivers with 360° cameras like the ones Google recommends for Street View contributors? Since OSM is a foundation, I assume the companies could write off the cost as a donation.

I tried uploading 360 photos to openstreetcam a while back, they do not support it via viewing on website as a photosphere I think I have an issue outatanding for it

Well, regardless of 360 support, I think that a partnership with ridesharing services would be helpful.

Or better yet, Amazon should just spend their money on giving their drivers Waylens's rather than paying for people to add poorly drawn driveways to OSM ;)

But on a more serious note, I always encourage my friends and relatives who drive for uber/doordash to film their drives if they can :)
