Upload Geo-Referenced Video From Garmin Virb #61

I was wondering if there is going to be support for uploading geo-referenced viddeon from devices like Garmin Virb....which I can currently do with Mapillary. If this can be implemented it would be nice if there is no upload size restriction that is currently in place for Mapillary.

Although it's simpler to take video, the resolution on the virb video(2mp) can make it hard to make details out. Why not just use the time lapse feature every 1 second as it produces higher quality imagery(13mp). This is what I do on mine

Can you describe how you do this with a Garmin Virb? I haven't been able to record more than about a half hour of 1sec timelapse photos this way before the Virb shuts off. I really think it's some flaw with the Virb.

Weird, I can go 2hours before it starts lagging and needs to be restarted. I went through the phone app and set 1sec intervals at full res. Then later I turn camera on via the power button and press the OK button to start the photo sequence. When I emailed garmin about the lagging they sent me this:

The VIRB XE is set up to record videos for a certain amount of time, it breaks a video into 25 minute segments and handles the Time Lapse in the same fashion. The information, that I received, it is designed do Time Lapse up to about 4GB of photos, then turn off. I am sorry, but this is normal functionality for the camera.

Maybe mine is broken in a good way?

ahhh that makes a lot of sense for what I'm seeing - thank you for passing that along!

I've also observed a lot of laggy issues with leaving the Virb XE on timelapse for a long period of time. I've thought about doing video but have also worried about the quality and usefulness. Do you have any examples of the video quality?
