Sync Transiscope (France, Belgium, NL) #2

Transiscope is the large mapping movement for transformation and sustainability in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. https://assemblee-virtuelle.github.io/transiscope-en/#/carte/@43.20,-48.16,2z?cat=all Movement behind it: https://www.colibris-lemouvement.org/ With biggest map: PRÈS DE CHEZ NOUS https://presdecheznous.fr/

Repo of the API-Protokoll for read only exchange of Data between plattforms: https://github.com/assemblee-virtuelle/Semantic-Bus

All linked maps can be seen here: https://gogocarto.fr/projects

On Hold

Transiscope has already had exchanges with Karte Von Morgen, and after several discussions, the conclusion is that a significant portion of their data does not comply with Transiscope's charter. Transiscope is a political project with a rather radical charter. One solution would be to filter the data to retain only those that comply with the charter, but the data is not sufficient to establish filtering criteria both technically and politically. The integration of Karte Von Morgen into Transiscope is currently on hold.

Next steps to clarify

  1. Which movements on the map of tomorrow match the criteria of transiscope? The best overview about the movements on kvm can be found here https://glossardeswandels.de/ and here https://blog.vonmorgen.org/bewegungen-und-netzwerke/ (both in German)
  2. See how to use kvm data here: https://app.swaggerhub.com/apis/Kartevonmorgen/openfairdb/
  3. How to find the relevant Data on Transiscope for kvm? Where do you have an overview of topics?
  4. How to filter data vom Transiscope for ODbL-Licence (the only licence which kvm can use)

Relevance

In the end it stays a question of relevance, in how far we should sync both maps, as they are quite nice seperated in each countries/ language regions. Short descripton on each map is according to its local users.

Maybe something which should be done in an european project.

Given the proliferation of maps, I wonder if the solution is one more map?

That is, is there a case for murmurations.network to maintain a Gogocarto instance that is explicitly global in scope?

Only they can answer that of course, but if such a map included the KVM data as well as their existing datasets I'd be tempted to use that as the map frontend to https://transitiongroups.org/ with the appropriate filters applied.

There is nothing about an additional maps. There is kvm well known in Germany, where we want to show all entries from france and our entreis on their maps...

If this interface exist, of course, you can host a global Gogocarto instance with entries from kvm and transiscope. And of course, you can us the data on Murmuration #1
