It would be very cool to make a widget "Editable Field" as http://yiibooster.clevertech.biz/widgets/editable/view/field.html

It will be very useful in the context of GridView http://yiibooster.clevertech.biz/widgets/editable/view/column.html

You should be able to use the above mentioned widget directly. Is there any reason, why you want this functionality also included in this extension set?

This is closed. A brand new extension yii2-editable has been created. Refer documentation and demos. The grid and detail view extensions will also be enhanced to use this extension.
