single page with slide animation starting points?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. put finger on page near one edge, slide towards said edge
2.

What is the expected output?
page would page back or forward one page.

What do you see instead?
page scrolling partially out of view and then snapping back.

What version of the product are you using?
1.4.2

On what operating system?
Honeycomb 3.2

What device are you using?
Toshiba AT100/Thrive

Please provide any additional information below.
using Acrobat reader, i can swipe back and forth using the thumb on the hand i 
hold the tablet with. But using Ebookdroid i need to either use the other hand 
or move my grip so that i start from the far edge of the direction i want to 
scroll/page. I guess this kind of paging works on smaller screens where the 
thumb can reach either edge. But on larger screens (the Thrive has a 10" 
screen) it becomes bothersome quite quickly.
