@ArnaudIGRAC please confirm then @NyakudyaA wait for his green light then remove. Please take another snapshot after.

@seabilwe Just confirm before if any of the layers that are being in map viewers because if I remove those work spaces they will be removed in the map viewers

seabilwe commented 3 years ago

Can you start deleting them tomorrow @NyakudyaA ? Because I need to go through the viewers Arnuad and Claudia were supposed to do.

I will await feedback from Arnaud but was just letting you know that the map viewers should not be using the layers from those workspaces

Alright

Some additional workspaces need to be removed, because empty or layers not relevant any more. The final list of workspaces to delete is:

seabilwe commented 3 years ago

@ArnaudIGRAC @NyakudyaA please do not remove the sadcgip_private workspace, some layers in the map viewers are in that workspace.

SterckxArnaud commented 3 years ago

Are you sure? which layers?

seabilwe commented 3 years ago

Hi @ArnaudIGRAC I just double checked its the Transboundary River Basins (TWAP) layer that is in the sadcgip_private workspace. It is used in the Trasnboundary Aquifers of the World map viewer

If it's just one layer maybe we can migrate it to another workspace ie GeoNode. If it's fine I can do this

SterckxArnaud commented 3 years ago

Hi Admire, this layer is already in the TWAP_public workspace https://staging.igrac.kartoza.com/layers/twap_public:twap_public:twap_river_basin so @Seabilwe can use this layer instead of the one from sadcgip_private

SterckxArnaud commented 3 years ago

Hi @NyakudyaA, can you please proceed with the deletion of workspaces (after saving a backup)?

SterckxArnaud commented 3 years ago

Hi Admire, it would be nice if you could attend this asap. I need to review all layers and it would make my job easier if irrelevant layers have been removed.

Hi @ArnaudIGRAC, I will attend it after finishing my meeting. I will ping you in the afternoon after doing this

Thanks Admire!

NyakudyaA commented 3 years ago

Just an update on this. I deleted the workspaces in GeoServer but when I tried to clean up the GeoNode layers it tries to delete all of them so for now I am still investigating this updates

NyakudyaA commented 3 years ago

@meomancer Can you look at the management commands and see why the following won't work

python manage.py updatelayers --skip-geonode-registered -v 3 --remove-deleted

I just tried it using A geonode deployed with the master branch of SPC geonode and it works

meomancer commented 3 years ago

hi @NyakudyaA could you try it? the last staging using older geoserver-restconfig i already upgrade it to geoserver-restconfig==2.0.4.6 (tested in my local)

i also already create snapshot

NyakudyaA commented 3 years ago

Thanks @meomancer
