Hi @timlinux @dimasciput @mmindje @helendallas,

Yesterday we had a meeting as a local RBIS team. We have noted that our site description is "Unknown" but the data team says that they filled the collum for "Site Description" while collecting the data. Please see the screenshot attached! InkedRBIS_Site_Description_Missing_LI

@timlinux @dimasciput @mmindje @helendallas,

The second issue is that it appears like we registered two different River(s) layers, while it's not the case. We were wondering if there might be a layer created as a placeholder, or if we have to correct something from our side. Please see the attached screenshot InkedRBIS_Site_River_Layer_Duplicated_LI

@mumaurice @mmindje The RBIS data - selected using Data Sources filter, all have Site descriptions and uploaded in the data files. However - the GBIF data harvested from GBIF does not have site description - hence it comes up as Unknown

@Maurice Mugabowindekwe mugabomaurice@gmail.com maybe check if in the site pannel those two names that appear as "River and Rivers" can be merged if possible. I am not sure how it works with the system

Hi @mumaurice I fixed it image

@helendallas Many thanks Helen for the insightful feedback. Together with Obed, we are going to work with @mmindje and the data team so that we can have attributes containing the location information (as per the accepted code name) for each site. I hope this will enable @dimasciput to pull those attributes, concatenate them and make the name code appear automatically for every site

@dimasciput many thanks for the great support. The river duplicate has been removed successfully!

@mumaurice @mmindje Data that are harvested from GBIF, will be updated on a regular basis to ensure that all data published to GBIF are served via RBIS. So if you update this on RBIS it will be overwritten each time data are harvested. My suggestion would be the following:

@dimasciput Is it possible to include the Locality as the Site description for all GBIF data? I have checked and it seems sites with coordinates generally have a locality as well.
