When only showing one institute, the zoom level is so high, that no context can be gleaned from the map. When we have multiple results, some are ever so slightly off screen. When we zoom out we see the entire world many times over.
Proposed Solution
Make the maximum zoom 4 zoom steps less. Also, make the minimum zoom only a bit bigger than south africa. Make sure that all results are within the viewable area (including side panel).
