I would really like us to move away from any generic references to ‘records’ (e.g. on the new do-nut chart on the front page). It is not clear to me, nor will it be to our users what a ‘record’ is, given that it could be one of :
site, occurrence,
taxon,
(in future) site visit,
survey.
So please let us not use this term and rather be explicit, using one of the aforementioned terms in preference to ‘record’ whenever we are showing a result to the user.
