Switch to using map proxy backend. Map proxy provides a way to cache tile requests from the user so that maps render more quickly and there is lower server load. There is some upstream work being done to add native MapProxy support to GeoNode. However it is not clear which of the two concurrent efforts will be merged. We will investigate this and if there is a clear winner integrate with that. Should it become clear that no upstream integration of MapProxy will take place, we will introduce MapProxy support into our docker / rancher based deployment configuration. Only for QGIS server backend
