Hillshade polygons in vector tiles #3

I see that hillshade (fjellskygge) is provided as a separate raster layer. Would it be possible to include it in the vector tiles instead to improve the performance?

This is definitely on our to-do list, along with a 3d terrain option. I should think we'll be able to look at this in January 2022.
