No Smart Attributes reported and system log error #11

  1. Using a variety of OWC Mercury Pro enclosures
  2. Same results under 10.8.5 and 10.9
  3. Same results with OS-X-SAT-SMART-Driver 0.6 or 0.7
  4. Using SmartReporter, external Drive Attributes display shows no Vendor Specific Attributes read (Internal drives show hours and temp, for example)

    4. Using Smart Utility, external Drives report as "Passed" but Attribute Lists are empty.

  5. Using Smart Utility, system always shows the error: Oct 27 18:37:40 MaxiJim kernel[0]: IOSATDriver::sendSMARTCommand failed, service response 2, task status 2 ===
  6. What should I expect?
  7. What does the error report mean?
  8. Could this still be a bridge board problem?
  9. What is my next step?

I'll close this, as you confirmed the driver to work in comment of issue #13
