Create an Internal Test on Google Play. Your team’s SCRUM Master will receive an
email to their URI email address inviting them to publish apps on the 305Soft account on
the Google Play store. Your app on the Play Store is named T<team
number>, where semester is the semester you are taking CSC 305, and team number is
your team’s number from the announcement on Brightspace. For instance,
Summer2023T1 is the app name that Team 1 in Summer 2023 will publish. These are
not good descriptive app names, but since we will not be releasing them publicly, this is
OK.
The SCRUM Master will then add all other members of your team to your app on the
Play Store.
As a team, create a Google Play internal test. The SCRUM Master will invite testers from
the 305Soft CTO staff (CSC 305 Professors and TAs), and the team members from the
review teams assigned to your team as specified on the announcement in Brightspace.
In the invite, provide the link to the feedback form described in Step 3 below.
The app name will not update until the app is reviewed by Google. This supposed to
take up to 3 days, but recently there have been reported delays of up to 25 days. If your
app is posted 3 days before the final project is due, you will not be penalized.
In your answer document put the label 4. Next to the label put the link to your app in the
Google Store. Also, in the README.md file on the top level of your team’s repo. Give
the information necessary for people (just the internal testers for now) to find your app on
the Google Play store. For example:
https://play.google.com/apps/internaltest/47008437079226357
