v4l2stereo 1.1 not compatible with xubuntu 12.04 #9

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. try to install v4l2stereo 1.1 on ubuntu 12.04
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Lots of unmet dependencies; eg libcv2.1 is required but xubuntu 12.04 has the
newer 2.3

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v4l2stereo 1.1 found on google code
xubuntu 12.04

Please provide any additional information below.
Is there a more recent version somewhere?
Is the project still being developed?

Thank you

I am in the process of updating v4l2stereo, but it's a slow process since I
don't have much time (job, moving house, etc). There are indeed a lot of
warnings and other issues and I expect to deal with those maybe over the next
couple of weeks. For now the main development will remain on Google Code, but
I'll likely move it to Github eventually.

For anyone who lives nearby and wants to join in I'll be fixing v4l2stereo on
week day evenings at the Manchester hackspace. http://hacman.org.uk/

Hi, did you manage to complete the update of the code for 12.04 or newer?
Is it available somewhere?

I can see some changes you made in the code of Nov 4th, but your last replu is
from Nov 14th, so I assume that is not the fixing for 12.04

FWIW I'm attaching a diff that lets v4l2stereo build on ubuntu precise 12.04
(against r166), after I ran
sudo apt-get install libcv-dev

(this is the first thing that worked; I know nothing about opencv and more
subtle changes may be more correct; only attaching this here in case someone
wants to run with it)
