Manchester

Dining

A lot of the above bars/restaurants are really good for working in too. I would recommend Tea cup and North Tea Power.

The Wharfis a really nice pub. I used to live near. Its right on the canal and has great outdoor seating if nice weather.

Liquorice was my local. My office was in the same building. Great staff and good drinks. They started to do food which isn't too bad too. Also note it gets packed on a friday night.

The Gaslamp - My Favourite bar. Hard to find but worth it.

The Liars Club - a tiki dive bar but very good cocktails. Just go for happy hour 5-9pm after that it gets packed out

Mojo is a club but its been a while since i was there.

Northern Quarter NQ is my favourite place for drink and food.

Places i would personally avoid are: Print works, Deansgates, Deansgates locks or the Piccadilly area. This is just my preference. They tend to be where all the young 18 year olds go etc...

If nice whether people head to Spinningfields

Outside Manchester there are also great areas like Didsbury and Chorlton Great bars and restaurants less than half an hour away. If you have time you should head out.

Curry places:

So in Manchester there is actually a place called the Curry Mile

My favourite curry restaurant is Akbars Eastzeast is pretty good too.

I haven't been but i hear Swadesh is nice and seems to have high ratings.

They are probably the main ones that you will find in the city centre. I know a few more but out of town.

Bars

Under New Management - I went here when it was called Corridor and it was super chilled out. Not been since, but apparently has good cocktails. :cocktail:

Cain & Grain - Owned by the same people as Liars Club, I haven't been but apparently is good. They serve Ribs too.

Food

Almost Famous - The burger place that started the burger trend in Manchester. Huge burgers, super messy, delicious. Owned by the same people as Luck Lust Liquor and Burn.

SoLiTa - Burger place in the NQ (and now Didsbury), slightly more refined than Almost Famous/Luck Lust Liquor & Burn. All their burgers are cooked over charcoals and delicious. I think they are also one of the only burger places in Manchester to make their own patties.

Mughli - Curry place in the curry mile. I've not been yet, but heard great things and is on my list to go.
