Sorry, I didn't experiment with this enough before posting. I created a group called "house" in the Alexa app and added both of my thermostats. I can change temperatures on both of the simultaneously using the group name. The key was making sure I had similar programs running on each thermostat with sufficient temperature spreads to allow them to adjust. Some commands obviously don't work, such as "what is the 'house' temperature" because it would potentially need to return two different values. I suppose it could tell me both if it were setup that way, though.
@Salty224 Ooo! Would you be willing to help me test this functionality? Right now I'm working off my own thermostat (I only have one)... Lennox doesn't provide any documentation on how multiple devices respond but I can take guesses or have you provide me with some basic response data on your own account.
I'll write up instructions that let you remove any identifying information before sending me your data: I'd love to see what the issue is with the commands that don't work via this info. (I'm currently on vacation so might be slow to do this, apologies!)
I'd be happy to help. Let me know what you need.
@Salty224 would you email me at kathryn.hall@gmail.com, when you have a spare moment? No rush!
Would it be possible to group multiple thermostats similar to the way multiple lights can be grouped? For example, I have thermostats named "upstairs" and "downstairs." Instead of issuing comands twice to set the temperature in each zone, could I just say "set the temperature to X" or "set the house temperature to X" and change both simultaneously?
