XLD does NOT delete original file after conversion as per Preferences -> Batch setting #224

I want XLD to transform all FLAC files in a directory to their Apple Lossless
equivalent and delete every succesfully transcoded FLAC file.

XLD does the transcoding and also adds to iTunes as per attached screenshots
very well but does not delete the original FLAC files which I have to manually
delete.

This is 100% reproducible. System is Mountain Lion 10.8.5 with iTunes 11.1.3

XLD is Version 20131102 (145.0)

Happy 2014 !

Forgot to add I am running as user Bob and the files are converted in place
(same directory as original).

Screenshot follows with the m4a files created by XLD but without the FLAC files
which I have manually deleted.

Please give steps to reproduce. How did you open files with XLD?

Checked and also the original files which XLD should delete have the same
owner.group and permissions.

I opened up the files via the XLD menu: File -> Open folder as disc

Thanks !!!

That doesn't work. "Open folder as a disc" does not run batch conversion mode.
Just open a folder from "Open" menu (or drag & drop to XLD icon).
