Addresses not being added to Constant Contact since July 13 #31

At www.stefanbaumann.com we have identified a problem with the integration between Constant Contact and Contact Form 7. Though the form settings indicate that the forms are connected to Constant Contact, a support call with Constant Contact this morning tells us that no new emails have been added to our list since July 13. We have a big event coming up in 2 weeks and really need this to work as expected. We saw a notice that there had been changes at Constant contact and to check our settings, but there is nothing to indicate what we should do in this case. Please advise as soon as possible. Thanks!

I should add that the Contact Form 7 itself is working fine. Last week I deactivated all plugins except CF7 and a Captcha plugin by the same author and the form worked fine, but after activating CF7 Newsletter, it started hanging after the Submit button was pressed. Apparently this has caused many people to click repeatedly as they're not sure if their request for an ebook, which has an autoresponder originating from CC was submitted, yet none of these requests are going through, and no emails are added to list mailing list. I just got back from visiting the CF7 support forum at wordpress.org and a member suggested that the Constant Contact plugin is causing a Javascript Conflict with CF7. Hopefully that helps. They said I could deactivate the js on CF7 as a stopgap measure, but I'd rather get it working properly. I just went through the integration instructions again and don't see anything out of place. What is the difference between CF7 Newsletter and Constant Contact for WordPress? Should i be using the latter instead of the former plugin?

Since CF7 Newsletter requires CF7 to work, I'd advise capturing all form submissions via email until the CF7 Newsletter is fixed. Another option would be to try and install an earlier version of CF7 until CF7 Newsletter is fixed. I haven't tried that yet. My hunch is that doing that will require recreating any forms. Another option is to try and find another plugin that links directly to Constant Contact, but I haven't found anything that works as well as CF7 + CF7 Newsletter as far as ease of use.

Thanks uberkb. Especially good to know that you find the same combination of forms that we're using is the best you've found so far. Hopefully Zach will be able to reply and let us know when this can be fixed. I'd hate to cost my client a bunch of money for a temporary fix and recreating forms that might have to be redone or undone when the plugin is updated.

Well, after not finding any reply from Zach today I decided to just use the subscribe form from Constant Contact. Manually added the 92 contacts via the form, so they will get the ebook they signed up for in a day or two now. My clients were just too stressed out about this situation, so I had to do something to help them feel ready for their impending event and take this burden off their heads. This doesn't fix the other 3 forms we have on the site, but doing the same with them won't take as much time. This was the big one they were concerned about, and now all is well, even though there's a bit more code in the page than with the CF7 shortcode and subscribers have to click one extra time to get to the form. I won't delete the plugin yet in case Zach is able to get to this sometime soon, but had to get something working fast. Thanks!

everything is up to date but still not working

hanasazi commented 9 years ago

I haven't changed back over to the CF7 form yet so I can't tell if the CF7 form (which we really do prefer) is working or not. Bummer that admin Tommy updated everything and still found it's not working correctly for him. Guess I'll have to wait until someone comments that it is working.

This is still not working for me either. I'm fully updated.
