Ethersjs Article #28

Closed jacob-creech closed 5 years ago

Created a very rough outline to start with for an article on Ethersjs. I plan on creating a simple wallet application, and then showing how to integrate a wallet with your webapp through this article. Will flesh it out more tomorrow.

Let me know if I'm going the right direction with the rough outline. Filling in the details soon.

Outline for #24

jacob-creech commented 5 years ago

@chrischinchilla due to unfortunate circumstances, I haven't been able to get as much of this done as I wanted to. If I don't have the first draft by today, I will not be able to complete by the deadline. If you'd like, I can pass it off to someone else on Gitcoin. Otherwise, I will continue to work.

ChrisChinchilla commented 5 years ago

@jacobcreech don't worry! I'll update the deadline.

jacob-creech commented 5 years ago

@ChrisChinchilla I have added my first draft of my Ethersjs article. I still need to make sure all the code is standardized and provide the final repo. Please let me know what feedback you may have for me. My apologies for the lateness. I have had a lot of difficulties with getting internet access the past few weeks.

ChrisChinchilla commented 5 years ago

Thanks @jacobcreech a few small tweaks and fixes, and then I think I can give it a final read through and code test to give a little more feedback.

jacob-creech commented 5 years ago

@ChrisChinchilla Thank you for the review. I have updated the general wording of my article. I will be reviewing the initial repo, and making a few more changes based on your review.

ChrisChinchilla commented 5 years ago

Sounds good @jacobcreech I look forward to it!

jacob-creech commented 5 years ago

@ChrisChinchilla I made an update regarding all of the comments. I also went through the article with the initial codebase myself and was able to run it. Please let me know if you run into any issues and any further feedback.

ChrisChinchilla commented 5 years ago

@jacobcreech Thanks! Unfortunately it looks like the 'initial' branch of the code repo contains the final version of the code.

jacob-creech commented 5 years ago

@ChrisChinchilla I specified the initial branch in the readme. I have separated into 2 different repos now since I can understand it can cause confusion. Please let me know if this works

jacob-creech commented 5 years ago

@jacobcreech I am mostly done with my review. I think you're finished now? Let me know, review what's here and I think we are mostly ready for publishing.

Looks good to me. Thanks for all the patience with this process. How do we go forward to publish? I have submitted this work on Gitcoin as well.

ChrisChinchilla commented 5 years ago

@jacobcreech I made some final tweaks, and now we're good to go. Please create an account on Kauri, and post. Please add a background image, a good descriptive title, and some tags. I'll sort the bounty now.

ChrisChinchilla commented 5 years ago

@jacobcreech How are you going on posting this article to Kauri? If I haven't heard from you in a couple of days I'll do it myself, but always better to have it from the author.

jacob-creech commented 5 years ago

@ChrisChinchilla Published! Thank you so much for being so patient with me. I apologize for this taking as long as it has. During writing this article, I've had a baby, moved houses, and went without home internet for nearly a month. I didn't want to state all this during the article in case you took pity on me - your patience is wonderful. Thank you again.

No worries @jacobcreech all very understandable :)
