canon eos wont turn off #147

I've installed the latest firmvare 1.1.1. 
Then I try to instal the testfir.fir, screen goes blank, I wait for a while (up 
to 15 min), i can not turn off camera with the switch.I must remove battery.

1.canon eos 400d.

Yes, this is expected behaviour. This is how the testfir.fir is working.
See 4. from the Installation wiki.

4. Insert the CF into the camera and run the firmware update using 
'testfir.fir', the screen will go blank then. Wait at least 2 minutes, turn it 
off, and finally take battery out and back in.

I cannot TURN OFF the camera!!!!!!!

turn it off AND finally take battery out...
If your camera stay on even with the battery out it will be more awesome than 
neutrinos speed. ;)

As i said it is an expected behaviour, when you turn off, the camera will stay 
on, then you need to take the battery out.

I cannot turn it off with swich, the green led stay lit.
