probably relevant, this is in error.log at the time i get the error 110
[error] 66772#46508: *19615 upstream timed out (10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond) while reading response header from upstream, client: 192.168.1.3, server: magica-us.com, request: "GET /magica/resource/download/asset/master/resource/CHUNK=movie/other/event1062_ending_movie.usm,20971520-25165823 HTTP/2.0", upstream: "https://127.0.0.1:443/magica/resource/download/asset/master/resource/movie/other/event1062_ending_movie.usm", host: "android.magica-us.com" edit: seeing as this is some sort of timeout issue, is it possible that this issue is caused by my really bad upload speeds? just a theory because i really don't know anything about this stuff
I had a similar problem, and it was quite the adventure to fix, so I'll give you the abridged version. There are a few solutions depending on what hardware you're using. You could download the Nox player disk image I created of a fully downloaded NA version, and plug and play into Nox emulator. Problem is it's 11GB, and I don't know where I could upload it.
Alternatively, you could download a slightly outdated APK. If you download the last APK before gallery mode, it won't cut out after 1000 bits. It's always exactly 1000 in my experience, as well, so it isn't a problem on your end. It will still say it can't access the network, but if you click retry, it should resume downloading immediately. There is a certain spot where the download will hang for a while and appear to crash, but if you leave it be it will eventually pick up steam again. It should be noted that Android 7 and above don't let you use the certificate, and that the latest two versions of ZipZap appear to be bugged. I don't have a ton of time at this moment, but if you want more details/to discuss this further, just say so and I'll be back when I can.
The solution that worked for me was just to press "Yes" button until it resumed. Quite boring though.
really weird stuff when first opening and downloading assets when using the special apk i get a few error codes(once every 5 minutes it seems to restart- shows error code 0, when i click retry it keeps going) and then the thing completely stops working at around 20k/37k (shows error code 110, at this point it wont download any more assets even if i try to retry it just give me the error again, these error codes say "Unable to access network. Do you want to retry?") if i try to use an apk from apkpure it just goes to the gallery menu when 1000 assets are downloaded and that's it. i'm pretty sure i got the certificate and everything done correctly, i tried using a dns server/non dns server, building the current repository and using that/using the latest release. i tried this both on my phone and on memu emulator
