Stick calibration enhancement request #159

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Which board (stock / gruvin9x / sky9x) are you using?
stock
What is your open9x FW version?
1552

It would be useful if the calibration code would automatically calculate center
for sticks/pots that lack a defined center location (or at least if the option
was there). Getting the pots in exactly the same spot every time for
calibration is not terribly easy.

Impossible to do seriously!

I actually agree with the OP!

It makes little sense calibrating the center of pots as they have no
spring-loaded return to center...
What I'd do is ignore the center values stored for the pots during the
first calibration step, and just overwrite them with (min+max/2) at the end
of the last step. Should be easy to implement.

On the X9D for example it's nearly impossible to set the slider pots to
center anyway...
