Package phpoffice/phpexcel is abandoned, you should avoid using it. Use phpoffice/phpspreadsheet instead.

we are aware of that, internally we already have a working branch for spreadsheet, anyway we need it until now. as we have tons of projects relying on it ...

With the flow 4.x update of this package we will release the change to the spreadsheet version.

I just pushed the refactored version for flow 4.x (still phpexcel, but prepared for the spreadsheet lib)

I also have views etc. in the meantime, so maybe I can add that as example in the docs as well.
