What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
The file endian.h is absent.
The existent definitions __LITTLE_ENDIAN and __BIG_ENDIAN located in 
asm/hal/arch.h are incompatible with definitions expected to be in endian.h

What goals would this enhancement help you to achieve?
Improved compatibility.

How are you going to implement the enhancement?
