It seems to me that all of this falls under the "raw data" category from Fernando's email. We're not using any KEGG databases or data structures at all. What we're re-posting is raw reformatted re-curated data, some of which originated in KEGG.
The KEGG website is free, but KEGG FTP and download are limited to academic use only. I'm uncertain what that means for an academic lab reposting data partially derived from KEGG.
