Space Internal Loads translation and Enduse Flagging #253

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Describe the translation issue or enhancement:
The attached file describes a number of SDD to OpenStudio translation additions
needed to handle space internal loads simulation and reporting. Each change
required is marked w/ text "ACTION NEEDED" and fall into one or both of two
categories:
- Translation to OpenStudio not yet implemented
- Internal loads simulated in EnergyPlus require "Special Enduse" labels in
order to ensure accurate results retrieval and reporting for Title-24.

In terms of prototype coverage of these properties --
- Spc:CommRfrg* can be found in the NEW 00601 (restaurant-Research) prototype
(00601-RestaurantQuickService-Research - run - r.xml).
- Spc:ElevEscal* can be found in the 00700-HotelSmall prototype.
- <all other> internal load Spc properties can be found in the 00100 (Prim
school) prototype.

note: the 00601 & 00700 prototypes still require some unrelated debugging, so
analysis on those models not expected to conclude successfully - but they still
demonstrate use of these internal gains properties.

Program, ruleset & prototype updates related to these features committed to SVN
@ rev. 605

Fix needed in OpenStudio -
Enduses flagged with subcategory "Receptacle" and "Process" are working great,
but Lighting is not split into "Reg Ltg" and "NonReg Ltg". Ran a test to see
if this might be due to the space character in the subcategory, but the result
was inconclusive. I also thought this might be due to 'Reg Ltg' and 'NonReg
Ltg' but being in a list of known/expected subcategories, but Kyle thinks that
is not the cause.
Only untested enduse subcategory is "Refrig", which will require a ruleset
kludge to test - will try to do that over the weekend.

Scott, sorry about this, this was just a stupid typo error (I was requesting
meters for gas energy use for interior lights). The issue is fixed by this
commit.

Kyle are you planning to make Scott a new build? Are we going to make a merge
to the sdd branch to tag this release?
