CBECC-Com Issue - HVAC #791

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Version = 2013_3_653

Category = HVAC

When creating a new model from scratch based off a small electrical building
design, the ThermalZone data screen won't pull the Floor Area entered in other
screens in order to run calculations. Whenever I click the Perform Analysis,
all I get is:

1 Error(s) encountered performing analysis (error code 11):

Error: Range check failure on ThermalZone 'ThermalZone 1'. Value being checked
= 0. Error if not greater than or equal to 1 (ThrmlZn:NumSpcs)

I am also having trouble being able to enter the HVAC unit capacity. The only
place I see to enter this (on the Air System Data screen), says the data in
those spaces are not user editable.

I am using CBECC-Com 2013-3 (653) version on a 64-bit Windows 7 Professional OS.

The first problem you are having can be fixed by going to the Space data screen
and using the Thermal Zone Reference dropdown to associate the spaces and
thermal zones.

In your air system, you have not added any components. You will need to add
supply and return air segments, a cooling coil, heating coil, fan, outdoor air
control and terminal unit objects to your system. You will also need to
associate the terminal unit and thermal zone.
