CBECC-Com Issue - HVAC #866

I am working on a project which will use VRF systems as its main HVAC system. 
Looks like CBECC.com has not included this type of system so far. I am 
wondering what is the appropriate method to model VRFs which could be accepted 
by CEC. Should we model it as a split system with a minimum efficiency?

When the project includes VRF systems or any other feature which is not yet 
supported in CBECC but which can be modeled in EnergyPlus, it is recommended 
that the Exceptional Design compliance process be followed.  This process 
allows you to use any capability of EnergyPlus to model your proposed design
