PTAC Air Conditioners #893

I made a call to you last week concerning the fact that Energy Pro can model 
PTAC Through The Wall Air Conditioners, however a performance calc will not 
work, as I get an error message as follows:

Issue:
The HVAC System PTAC. A Room Air Conditioner is not a system type currently 
supported by the CBECC engine. The CEC does not currently have this type of 
system implemented in the Compliance Manager.

Solution:
In the Central System Library, change the type of system.

The person I spoke with had told me that the system type would most likely be 
supported by the CBECC engine/CEC by the next “major” update in Energy Pro 
(i.e. – version 6.4) and for now I would have to model the system(s) as 
either Split or Package DX.

He promised to provide me with this recommendation verbatim in an email, to 
give us documentation to provide the client.

This never happened.

Could you please provide an email with this recommendation, as given me by one 
of your representatives, at your earliest convenience?

We provide support for the CBECC-Com application, but for EnergyPro support you 
should contact EnergySoft directly.  CBECC-Com currently supports PTAC systems 
as well as numerous other zone system types.
