CBECC-Com Issue - Unexpected Crash #924

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Version = 2013_3_653   (ComplianceManager)

Category = Unexpected Crash

IES ref: 0076057

IES customer wishes to model windows as 3 adjacent panes (of different
fenestrations), but this is crashing in CBECC API.

Is this a limitation of the API (rather than E+) that could perhaps be resolved
in a future release?

Compare attached 1-pane and 3-pane XML. I also note that the 3-pane XML cannot
be opened in CBECC-Com (crashes).

The problem with your model was that the coordinates specified for the windows
were incorrect- the window poly loops extended beyond the surface of its parent
wall. I fixed this for all windows in the Building Story ‘30th Floor’ and
was able to open the file in CBECC-Com. In these instances the Y coordinates of
the windows extended beyond that of the Parent Wall. Please ensure that the
co-ordinates are specified correctly for windows on all the other building
stories. Attached is version of your file with the corrections mentioned above.
