Response sent to user on 2/25/2015:
There were a few issues with your model

1.There are several surfaces in the model that I think are internal walls but
are modelled incorrectly as external walls. Since you have modelled the
geometry via the Detailed geometry method, you will have to make the
corrections in the software used to build the geometry. The list below includes
some of the examples I’ve seen. Please note that this list is not exhaustive
and it appears that most of the spaces in the model have incorrectly modelled
wall surfaces.
• Plenum 004
• Open Office 110b
• Break 113 should have only one exterior wall- all others should be interior.
• Conference 102 – all walls but Surface 56 should be interior walls
• IT/Server – is an interior space but Model has several exterior walls
• Jan 116– is an interior space but Model has several exterior walls
• Lobby 101 – N and W facing ext walls should be interior walls?
• Mech Mezz – check if all the wall surfaces in this space are exterior
walls
• Mech/Fire 111- E wall is modelled as exterior wall- looks like an interior
wall in plan view

2. The model has a Hot Water Fluid System – FluidSystem 1 which is not
referenced by any HVAC systems. Please delete this if it is not part of the
buildings HVAC system. If the building does have a Hot Water Fluid System, then
make sure that Fluid System is built with necessary Fluid Segments and
boiler/s. CBECC should have checkcode errors when the model has fluid system
without any fluid segments and boiler.

3. Zone System 7 is a PTAC system with no heating coil. This may be an actual
representation of the design, however EnergyPlus needs a heating coil component
for the model to run successfully. Please include a heating coil in this system
with minimum capacity to ensure that all the necessary components of this
system are included in the model.
CBECC should generate a checkcode error when an invalid PTAC configuration is
modeled.
