Fix test compilation errors #132 #141

This pull request addresses issue #132.

1) It solves issues with tests not failing because of not compiling. 2) It also solves issues with database columns not liking an enum type.

Thanks a lot to @TheGuardianWolf for identifying the issues and helping with solutions. @JoeHorvath

@softeng-701 I'll get my team to review it now, but could you please merge it asap afterwards as it addresses issues with the builds not working in master.
