Update jQuery for security reasons #139

currently running npm audit produces 3 vulnerabilities. 2 of these vulnerabilities will hopefully be fixed by #127 but the other one is due to an outdated jquery package.

The fix for this could be as simple as running an npm install. However, given this is a large version change (2.1.1 -> 3.3.1) some testing will be required.

Acceptance Criteria

jquery package updated
everything else functioning as usual
